Niemand hat die Absicht

Niemand hat die Absicht, einen Flughafen zu errichten.

Literally translated to "Nobody has the intention, an airport to build."

Properly translated to "Nobody has the intention to build an airport."

'einen' is used for the accusative case, which is marked for direct object.

Flug in Flughafen means flight in English. Hafen means haven or port in English. Therefore, Flughafen means airport.

The capital of Denmark is Copenhagen, København in Danish. It's original name was Køpmannæhafn, meaning "merchants' harbour". The English cognate would be Chapman's haven. Here Chapman was originated from Kaufmann in German. You may know that kaufen is buying.  Kaufmann is a common surname in Germany and it also means merchant.

There are lots of ways to refer merchants such as der Händler and der Handelsmann (general terms for merchants),  der Einzelhändler (the retailer), der Großkaufmann and der Ladungsbeteiligte (the wholesalers),  der Musskaufmann (merchants dealing with necessities).

Wie ist das Wetter heute? Es ist windig. Es ist bewölkt. Der Sturm kommt.
